- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste or extract
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, melt butter and mix with white and brown sugars until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- Stir in vanilla bean paste or extract.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out the top.
- Optional: Sprinkle extra brown sugar on top for caramelized crust.
- Bake for 20–30 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set (toothpick should come out with moist crumbs).
- Cool completely before slicing. Add frosting or drizzle if desired.
Notes
Enhance flavor with cinnamon, nutmeg, or citrus zest. For a twist, add chopped nuts or caramel swirls. Best served with coffee or ice cream.
