This Nutter Butter Trifle is a creamy, crunchy, peanut butter dream come true. With layers of pudding, cookies, and whipped cream, it’s impossible to resist. Whether you’re serving it for a holiday or a casual get-together, this trifle is guaranteed to wow your guests and satisfy every sweet tooth at the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 oz) package Nutter Butter cookies, crushed (reserve a few whole for topping)
  • 1 (5 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Optional: chocolate syrup, peanut butter chips, or chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Chill for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  4. Fold in half of the whipped topping until combined.
  5. In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer ingredients in this order:
    • Crushed Nutter Butter cookies
    • Peanut butter pudding
    • Cream cheese mixture
  6. Repeat until the dish is full, finishing with whipped topping and cookie crumbs.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with whole cookies or drizzle with chocolate syrup.

Notes

Add chocolate pudding, chopped peanuts, or peanut butter cups for extra crunch. Try swapping Nutter Butter with Oreos for a chocolatey twist. Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Freeze leftovers for up to a month.
