Description

Looking for the ultimate spooky snack for Halloween? These Hot Dog Mummies are easy, fun, and guaranteed to be a hit with kids and adults alike. With just hot dogs, crescent roll dough, and a touch of mustard or ketchup for “eyes,” you’ll have the perfect festive finger food in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of hot dogs (8 count)
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry)
  • Mustard or ketchup (for eyes)
  • Optional: sliced cheese, sesame seeds, or garlic powder for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and cut into thin strips about ¼ inch wide.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving a small gap at the top for the “face.”
  4. Place wrapped hot dogs on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Add mustard or ketchup dots for eyes.
  6. Serve warm with dipping sauces like honey mustard, BBQ, or cheese dip.

Notes

For cheesy mummies, wrap hot dogs with a slice of cheese before the dough. Try mini cocktail sausages for bite-sized versions. Sprinkle sesame seeds or garlic powder for extra flavor.
