Description

An American holiday classic made with creamy mushroom sauce, tender green beans, and crispy French fried onions. A must-have Thanksgiving or Christmas side dish that’s easy and comforting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 4 cups frozen green beans, thawed and drained
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the soup, milk, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add the green beans and 2/3 cup of the French fried onions. Mix gently.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 1½-quart baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbling.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining onions on top and bake for an additional 5–10 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes

You can substitute fresh green beans for a crisp texture, or use canned if preferred. Add shredded cheddar for a creamy twist, or make it vegan with plant-based ingredients.
