Description
A gentle, bariatric-friendly hydration snack made with just three ingredients: unflavored gelatin, water, and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 packet unflavored gelatin (about 2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 pinch pink Himalayan salt (about 1/16 tsp)
Instructions
- Heat 1 cup of water until boiling. Pour it into a heat-safe bowl or measuring cup.
- Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the surface of the hot water. Whisk for 30 to 60 seconds until fully dissolved and the liquid looks clear.
- Add a small pinch of pink Himalayan salt and stir again until it disappears.
- Pour into silicone molds, small ramekins, or a shallow glass dish.
- Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until set. Cut into cubes or scoop with a spoon, depending on your current stage.
Notes
Serve in 1 to 2 tbsp portions. Keep refrigerated for up to 4 days. Optional: add a few drops of sugar-free strawberry drink mix (only if approved). You can also swap in fine sea salt if needed.
