Description
These apple pie crescent rolls deliver everything you love about classic apple pie, wrapped in flaky crescent dough and baked until golden.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 large Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- Optional: powdered sugar for finishing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Lay them flat with the wide end facing you.
- Brush each triangle lightly with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over each dough triangle.
- Add a few apple slices near the wide edge of each triangle. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
- Starting at the wide end, roll the dough toward the tip, enclosing the apple filling.
- Place on the baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and lightly crisp.
Notes
Use thin apple slices so they soften fully during baking. Add a pinch of nutmeg for deeper flavor. Drizzle with icing or caramel if desired. Swap pecans for walnuts or omit for nut-free. Best served warm with ice cream or coffee.
